Another Food Post!

Yesterday I made this in the crock pot:

Gina's Crock Pot Kalua Pork

And it was deeeelish. I only went 6 hours instead of 16...I started it at noon on low, then cranked it up to high at 4pm, then checked the temp at 6pm with a meat thermometer...and it was done! So I put it on warm for about 30 mins while I made side dishes.

Side dishes:
White rice
Baby Red Potato Salad

And like Gina, I drizzled hoisin sauce over the pork and rice at the end. Fabulouso!

Weight update:
I lost 2 lbs this week, probably mostly because I've been sick the last 2 days so I've eaten nothing but toast, cookies, and Nyquil.

Book update:
I'm in love with the library. I finished Commencement and loved it. I checked out 6 books yesterday (under the influence of Dayquil, thinking I could finish them all this week).

Other stuff:
Seth and I found a CUTE/perfect/fabulous/amazing/adorable apartment on Saturday that I'm afraid that I'm already in love with. We're not in a hurry to move, but we're definitely looking for an upgrade. Here's the breakdown:

Pros
1. It's exactly what we want in location: 1 block to the beach, half a block from where we live now (I can see it from our balcony, and vice versa!); We LOVE our neighborhood.
2. Full appliances
3. Parking (hard to find in Seattle)
4. Pet-friendly! (A pet is definitely still in our plan, but we don't have one YET, so...)
5. Amazing building manager (she was adorable and nice, but also no-nonsense when it came to cleaning and etc.)
6. 2 bedrooms; the apartment has a great layout overall. IT IS PERFECT

Cons
1. It's more rent than what we pay now (although it's a totally reasonable rate for what we'll get). Only, we don't HAVE to move right now, so should we really be looking to spend the extra money?
2. Deposits and cleaning and whatnot. Moving is expensive. And a pain in the ass.
3. That's it.

If we don't act NOW we'll lose this place, which is adding to the pressure of deciding today. We could pay to hold it while we think, but I don't want to spend the money. The good news is that our place now is month to month leased, so we can move any time with enough notice. But this place is perfect! I can't decide!!
