I survived my Arabic final yesterday. Having a final on a Saturday morning should be made illegal, or at least come with a guaranteed C+. Which is probably how well I did...if I'm lucky.
Seth came in town Friday night! His flight was an hour late, which worked out because I got to study my Arabic vocab flashcards in the airport while I waited..but whatev I don't care because the test is OVER and Seth is HERE.
Yesterday after my test, Seth and I went to the janky Safeway by my house, then to the Farmer's Market next to it. We got some really good smoked salmon, some yummy homemade bread, my fave raw honey, and Seth bought me the most amazing jar of pickles ever. It was from the booth that sells really great homemade jelly and chocolate sauce. I always look at the pickles but never buy them because they're expensive. But omg they're so good and now I have to buy them all the time because they're amazing. And you know how I am about pickles. Anyway while we were there, this booth that I could have sworn was selling goat meat had a real, live adorable baby goat hanging out. Which was a little odd, to say the least.
After that, I made a big breakfast and we hung out. I actually worked on my paper a little, and Seth took a nap. Later, we ordered from my fave Indian place and we watched Bender's Big Score and The Darjeeling Limited. Did I mention that it was amazing?
I really need to finish my paper for anthropology. It's due Friday (the day we leave), but the sooner I finish, the more time I have to just hang out and show Seth fun Seattle stuff. I have all my notes from my first draft, I just have to go through and edit. I just want to finish! Maybe I can knock some out today while he watches Selection Sunday..

Where are you leaving to? P.S.--Thank god Seth wasn't flying out of Atlanta, where the tornado put all their flights two days behind. If I didn't have a rather important research presentation the next morning, I SOOOOO would have accepted Delta's $400 and taken a flight the next day. Gotta love weather delays and spending your Sunday afternoon/evening in a heap of stress in a crowded airport. P.P.S.--Atlanta blows. Don't ever go there. Unless your nerdly bf is there making bags of money for you to spend...then it's ok for a few days :)
Yeah thank god! Wow I didnt know it was that bad. I fly through dallas, mostly b/c I fly southwest cause it's the cheapest..
um, but thank god for bags of money! ha ha
Just joking about the bags of money. But seriously: homemade pickles=best edible items ever. I'm infinitely jealous because our farmer's market seems to be more interested in petitioning Walmart than in making delicious pickles. !!!! ha
