time zones are stupid

I hate that when I hit my drunk texting stride at about 11:30, all my text recipients have already cashed in and gone to bed.

I hate how NOTHING is live on the west coast, so if there's a season finale I can't go online starting 3 hours before because someone always posts about it on facebook (So-and-so is "so excited THIS PERSON won Top Model/Project Runway/American Idol!!!1!") (come to think of it, this happens on most nights with elimination episodes. Keep it to yourself, people!).

...and when something IS shown live in my time zone, it's at some ridiculously early time. Watching the Oscars at 4pm = so fun...not. Red carpet coverage is not really meant to be seen at noon, either. Sheesh.

However, I will say that I love waking up and getting to the office at 8am, and already having a ton of facebook updates to see because all my friends have been up for HOURS. It's like xmas, every day.

Ditto for celebrity gossip sites.
