We went to Barnes & Noble today, and I did that thing I always do, which is that I couldn't decide between the ten books I wanted to buy because I couldn't decide which ones I wanted to shell out the money to keep, which ones I wanted to read for sure from the library, but possibly not keep, and which I really only wanted to download a sample of before deciding to commit to reading.
Because I like to overthink everything.
I bought a book light instead.
And by "book light" I mean a light that attaches to my nook so I can read in bed.
And then I went to the library and checked out some things on hold. After I paid my late fees from my last run, and was late returning because we were in the middle of moving.
Anyway, I love reading, and I want to read more, and there a million books I want to read right now.
Here's what I'm reading right now:
From the library:
Whatever It Takes by Geoffrey Canada (This year's first-year seminar book at the school where I work, and also a huge part of the film Waiting for Superman, which Oprah has been talking about during her farewell season.)
Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison, based on Roxie's recommendation.
From the library in Electronic Format for the nook:
Definitely Dead Book 6 of the Sookie Stackhouse series
You Lost Me There by Rosecrans Baldwin
Wish me luck.

I'm so glad you're reading _Bastard Out of Carolina_! It's not like, "wheee!" but it's sooooo gooood. I'm also glad that someone else goes to the bookstore and WAY over-thinks things. I'll spend three weeks trying to decide if I want to spend $10 on a book, and *where* I should buy it (used book store? Borders with a coupon? Amazon?). And then I end up spending $50 on that book plus three others, no matter where I go. I'm like Sisyphus, only with cuter shoes.
Oh, I also wanted to say that I think _You Lost Me There_ looks good. You have to tell me if you like it.
