spring break-tacular

Finally back from the best two-week spring beak ever. Being in shreveport last week was absolutely amazing and totally what I needed after being so frazzled at the end of last quarter. We had an amazing time!

Seth and I drove in from Dallas around 1 am. Everyone was still gone so having the whole house for ourselves was super-great. The whole week was amazing! First of all, the weather was perfect. It felt like 80 degrees almost every day, and didn't rain until the day I left. Thank GOD for that because one more rainy day would have made me crazy! Instead, I got to lay out twice :) on the roof and got to run around in tank tops and flip-flops. AND all the stores had totally cute summer clothes. Mom and I went shopping at all my fave places. Being able to drive to the store and buy awesome stuff is something I really miss.

That and the food :) it's no thai take-out but we ate tons of yeero yeero and tacomania and of course, crawfish! My last night there Centenary had a crawfish bowl for greek life, or maybe it was AED...actually I'm not too sure. But since it was centenary no one showed so there was a ton left over, so the guys filled up ice chests with crawfish and we ate it at the tke house. My fingers totally still have little cuts all over them from peeling.

I went to eat sushi with my parents...twice! Mom, Dad, and I went to Sushiko on Wednesday, then the next night Mom and I went again. After the first time we went shopping on the Boardwalk and the next night we walked around and had a drink at the Irish pub place. I visited my grandparents on Friday at their house in bossier. They're going to Disney World next month! I'm totally jealous...but happy for them. My grandma also *secretly* gave me some cash, which was super nice.

On top of all that, there was lots of TV-watching and I played the Sims for about a million hours. We also went to the movies with David and Beth (who was in town for the weekend). We saw 21, which was pretty good. I drank a huge daiquiri before we left so maybe it wasn't as good as I remember..

I totally wasn't ready to leave on Saturday. Not only was I super-sad, but slightly hung-over. But when Mom picked me up she had doughnuts and colaches, so that helped a lot. :) We drove to Dallas and ate at this super-cute Deli. When we said goodbye at the airport, it was the first time I went through security without crying! Seriously.

Getting home was nice though. Thanks to the cash from my grandma, I got to take a cab home from the airport. So school starts tomorrow and I haven't locked in my schedule yet, or bought books. I also need to do my taxes ASAP so I don't forget. I also haven't unpacked or cleaned anything since Seth was here or bought groceries. Oh, and it's 35 degrees here and supposed to snow all week! But at least Roxie and Jared are coming in about a month, and in about 6 weeks Seth is moving up!

Is Seth moving in? If so, I'm horribly jealous yet happy for you. :)

Yep! Us sharing a studio apartment that's two small for me + my clothes is going to be an adventure and a half. Or probably more like a sitcom.
