time zone champs

I officially brought Seth back to La in one piece. :) The last few days in Seattle were super-great. Thursday was his birthday [don't feel bad if you didn't know...he refuses to tell facebook his birthday for some reason] so we went back downtown to the Seattle Aquarium. Not only was it was one of the coolest buildings ever, but they had TWO kinds of otters (both sea and river) and a bunch of tide pools that you could reach in and touch the starfish and sea cucumbers. Neeeat.

The aquarium is at Riverfront Park so it's right on the Sound. You can go out and walk around on the pier right over the water and you get a great view of the mountains. After that, we ate lunch at this really great seafood restaurant next door that serves super fresh fish, which is awesome if you've been looking at them all morning and it makes you really hungry. Yum yum yum yum.

The rest of the day was watching movies in my apartment and ordering thai food. [btw, if you've never had thai food delivered directly to your door and you can sign for it wearing pajamas, then I propose that you have not yet fully lived. just saying.]

Friday I woke up early-ish and cleaned and packed like a crazy woman. Lindsay drove us to the airport and I talked with her about her latest break-up with Kyle, and Seth and Cougar told each other Knock-Knock jokes in the backseat. We made our flight, survived a lay-over in Kansas City, got to Dallas and retrieved Seth's car from the parking garage, and rocked out to 80's music the whole way to s'port.

So excited to be back. The weather is, of course, not at all wintry, which I love love love. I'm meeting mom today to get our nails done and eat lunch. I want Louisiana food soooo bad.
